THE brother of a man accused of aiding alleged murderer Will Blencowe has described handing over his trainers on the night Connor Tremble was killed.

Declan Clemens, of Stockwells, Moreton-in-Marsh, gave evidence this morning at Oxford Crown Court about the evening of February 13.

The 19-year-old said at about 8pm his older brother Grant let Bradley Jones and Will Blencowe into their house and he heard them talking in "hushed tones" downstairs.

Declan said he then heard the shower running and a short time later his brother came into his bedroom and asked to borrow his Adidas trainers.

He said: "(Grant) said 'I need to borrow your trainers'.

"I said no, and he offered me two (cannabis) reefers for them, so I said yes."

Asked why he thought Grant needed them he replied: "I didn't really want to know."

Asked if he is angry with his brother for getting involved, he replied: "No. He was just helping his mate out."

Blencowe, of Oxford Road, Banbury, admits inflicting the fatal injuries on Connor Tremble, but claims he acted in self-defence and denies murder.

The prosecution alleges he killed Connor because the teenager was seeing his ex-girlfriend, Aimee Harrison.

Bradley Jones, 21, of New Road, Bledington, and Grant Clemens, 23, of Stockwells, Moreton-in-Marsh, are also on trial and both deny perverting the course of justice.

The trial continues.
