HUNDREDS of pupils across Oxfordshire will find out today how they did in their A-Level exams.

Schools will be open this morning as pupils return to find out their grades and if they have been able to get into the university of their choice.

Last year The Cherwell School in Oxford was the county’s top performing state school for the second year running, with 36 per cent of all exams graded at A or A*.

Independent Magdalen College School had the best results in the county with 91.01 per cent of exams getting either an A* or an A.

Nationally the proportion of A-Levels awarded the top two grades was down for the second year, with A*s and As being given to 26.3 per cent of entries.

The Oxford Mail’s team will be out across the county to cover the day as it unfolds and results for each school will be published on oxfordmail.co.uk as they come in this morning.
