A 21-YEAR-OLD who told Connor Tremble's killer where the teenager lived said he was "distraught" when he realised what he had done.
This afternoon Zak Perry, 21, gave evidence in Oxford Crown Court about phone calls he received from Will Blencowe, who admits killing the 17-year-old but denies murder, on February 13 this year.
He told the jury he got a call at around 6pm from the "desperate" sounding Blencowe, of Oxford Road, Banbury, who said he needed to know whether his ex-girlfriend was now sleeping with Connor.
Mr Perry said he told Blencowe, now 21, it wasn't true, but eventually said "go make a fool of yourself" and directed him to the teenager's address in Fairacres Road, Oxford.
Mr Perry also said the defendant sounded "happy" when he called him back shortly after Connor was stabbed.
He said: "(Blencowe) said: 'It is done, it's all sorted, my life needs nothing'.
"I just assumed that he had got the answer he wanted, that it wasn't true, that it was all lies."
But he said he was "distraught" when he discovered what had really happened and added: "I had given the person who had just gone to my best mate's house and stabbed him at the address."
Blencowe denies murder.
Bradley Jones, 21, of New Road, Bledington, and Grant Clemens, 23, of Stockwells, Moreton-in-Marsh, are also on trial and both deny perverting the course of justice.
The trial continues.
