YOUNGSTER Skye Hall is just hours away from ticking one more thing off his bucket list after Oxford Mail readers stepped forward to help the brave lad.

Five-year-old Skye, from Abingdon, has been battling with a brain tumour for a year and has been working to complete a bucket list of fun activities before he dies.

Next to be crossed off the list is for Skye to pull a prank where he will sit in a fake ice-cream dispenser and surprise people by plonking ice cream on the unsuspecting customer’s empty cone.

After an emotional appeal in the Oxford Mail, the family received dozens of offers of help.

Dad Andy, 42, said: “A carpenter has made the box over the weekend, and yesterday it was delivered to our house and we had some painters come and put the logo on.

“We’ve got our film crew all ready to go from today, but it all depends on how well Skye is feeling and the weather.”

The PE teacher at Abingdon School said: “It’s not set in stone yet when it will happen, but we’re on track to getting it done early this week.”
