THIEVES targeted a store in a failed robbery in Banbury.
The two tried to break into the Co-operative Food at Queensway Shopping Centre, Mewburn Road, in the early hours of Wednesday.
Between 12.40am and 1am they tried to break the padlock off a rear fire door, they then damaged the front shutter’s control unit to try and get in and finally they tried to remove a front window panel, only managing to damage a window.
Police say they did not manage to get into the shop and nothing was stolen.
