A MAN who hid £620 worth of crack cocaine and heroin in a Kinder Surprise has been sentenced to 32 months in prison.

Police officers searched Devon Thompson’s car on January 21 this year and found 39 wraps of crack cocaine and 23 wraps of heroin hidden in the chocolate egg.

They also found £1,000 cash in his car and home after arresting him on Hockmore Street, Cowley.

Thompson, 38, of Kelburne Road, Rose Hill, was charged with possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and possession with intent to supply heroin on June 5.

After pleading guilty to the charges against him at Oxford Crown Court on Friday, Thompson was sentenced to 32 months in prison.

Investigating officer, PC Ben Jones of Oxford CID said: “I am pleased with the sentence imposed upon Thompson, who will no longer be able to deal drugs on the streets of Oxford.

“This sentence should act as a reminder to potential offenders that Thames Valley Police and the Crown Prosecution Service have a zero tolerance approach to drugs offences.

“Those who do offend will be charged and sent to court.”
