Kennington and Hinksey Hill roundabout work continue to cause traffic misery

First published in News

TRAFFIC queues are stretching along the Eastern and Southern By-Pass Roads, as well as up Abingdon Road.

Drivers going eastbound along the Southern By-Pass towards Abingdon Road and westbound towards Hinksey Hill are facing delays.

It is a result of the ongoing works at the Kennington and Hinksey Hill roundabouts – due to finish in November.

As part of that, a contraflow system was introduced between Heyford Hill and Hinksey Hill interchanges, with today being the fourth day it has been in force.

There were long delays on Monday when it was first introduced.

No changes from Rodney Rose then, he's alright sat in his Ivory tower. Oh now I see he's already planning chaos at the station area for November, and this is the person who was in charge when the layout that is there now was approved. When is he going to admit he was wrong and pay for the changes himself.

Was Rodney Rose really 'in charge' when the current Frideswide Sq layout was put in, in 1999? THe County was a LD/Green coalition at the time and Rose is a Conservative. How does that work?
