Investigation launched as hundreds of fish killed in Didcot stream

SOME 250 fish have been found dead in a stream in Didcot.

A resident called the Environment Agency (EA) late on Saturday evening when he spotted the dead fish in Moor Ditch on the Ladygrove estate.

Officers began investigating yesterday and are this afternoon taking water samples to discover the cause of death.

Considering this was reported Saturday and the towers where blown Sunday morning I doubt this anything to do with the explosion. It could be down to the installation of the explosives or related to the recent spate of heat, i'm pretty sure prolonged exposures to heat do the oxygen levels no good.
I will wait until the experts have completed their analysis before drawing to any conclusions.
