Oxford West and Abingdon MP Nicola Blackwood is reportedly tipped for a promotion in today’s Government ministerial reshuffle.

According to The Sunday Times and the Daily Mail, as well as political blog Conservative Home, Ms Blackwood could be one of a number of Tory women up for a junior ministerial position.

It is part of Prime Minister and Witney MP David Cameron’s attempt to make a third of his party’s ministers women before the General Election – a pledge he made in 2009.

Miss Blackwood didn’t respond to our request for a comment.

I hear they need somebody to empty the bins in Number 10, ideal for Ms Blackwood.

Another panic move by Tory toff Dave. As usual, responding to difficulties rather than sorting them before they happen.
Maybe she could polish his shoes.

She's certainly loyal to the party. According to the public whip site she's only voted against the party line 3 times out of 808 votes. Makes you wonder why they bother pretending they represent us when they always tow the line.
