TENNIS fans are eagerly watching the action on centre court, but one woman is more concerned about what’s happening in the shops at Wimbledon.

Lavender-scented shower gels, body lotions and hand washes made by Jacobs Field Lavender of Islip are being sold at three official championship shops.

Julie Ross is behind the project, which puts all of its profits into charity organisations across Oxfordshire.

She said: “Last year I ran an open day where I demonstrated what we do, and someone there put me in touch with Wimbledon.

“In February I did a pitch which was absolutely terrifying – I’m a 61-year-old, not a Dragon’s Den type.

“But I told them about what we do and how well it sells locally and they ordered 650 bottles.”

By the end of April the bottles had been delivered to Wimbledon ready to be sold throughout the tournament in three official shops. Once all of the bottles have been sold, £4,225 will be coming back to the county.

Mrs Ross said: “It seems to be selling well. We sell it around here for £6.50 and they’re selling it for £18 – it’s extraordinary.”
