A JUDGE has this morning thrown out a bid by a man to claim he was the rightful owner of a North Oxford home worth more than £1m.
Abbey Folami had claimed he bought 17 Warnborough Road in 2007 and was trying to evict the tenants in a legal wrangle that has run for more than two years.
But the claim was thrown out today at Oxford County Court.
In the written order, Recorder Alastair Wilson said the transfer of the ownership to Mr Folami, who did not attend today, had been fraudulent and the house should remain part of the estate of the former Nigerian chief who owned the property originally but died in 1989.
The question of legal costs could be discussed at a later hearing.
