A TAXI driver in Oxford was robbed by knife-wielding thieves on Wednesday .

Police said the man, 32, was parked in The Slade when he was approached at about 1.15am by two men, who threatened him before taking money from him.

They fled in the direction of Leiden Road. One was described as being white, in his early 20s, 5ft 8in, skinny, blonde-haired and as having a tattoo on his neck.

The other man, police said, was white, 6ft, of stocky build and wearing a dark hooded top with a dark baseball cap.

The taxi driver is reported to have suffered scratches to his face and hands.

PC Paul Jones of Oxford police station said: “It is possible that people may have seen or heard this incident.

“There are a lot of residential properties in the area and there would have been a lot of noise.”
