SCOTT Billings has a confession to make — he’s a bit of a geek.
But Mr Billings, exhibitions assistant at the Museum of the History of Science in Oxford, is not ashamed of his geek status and invited others to take part in the Geek is Good night on Wednesday.
More than 100 people attended the evening to celebrate the Broad Street attraction’s collection of scientific instruments, which dates back over centuries.
Mr Billings, 38, from Woodstock, who has worked at the museum for the past three years, set up a geek confession booth so that people could record 30-second videos about their ‘geeky sins’.
He said: “I confess that I like looking at the stars and playing old video games.
“We thought it would be fun to set up the confession booth and put an iPad in it so that people can record their geeky stories and we will put some of the videos on the museum’s website.
“There is nothing wrong with being geeky – geeky people are often behind the latest innovations.”
