The trial of the man accused of murdering Jayden Parkinson has been put back four days.

Ben Blakeley, 22, of Reading, who denies the charge, but has pleaded guilty to manslaughter, was due to stand trial next Monday, but due to conflicts with barristers’ other cases, Judge Patrick Eccles yesterday said it can now start next Friday.

A 17-year-old Didcot boy, who cannot be named, will stand trial alongside him, having pleaded not guilty to perverting the course of justice. Both are in custody.
