An environmental statement for the £100m redevelopment of Botley’s shopping area has been submitted.

Development company Doric, which is planning to redevelop the West Way shopping centre, has already submitted a planning application and artist’s impressions, above, for the scheme.

But in February, Vale of White Horse District Council decided that an environmental impact assessment is needed before the plans can be considered.

The EIA, which covers a range of information including the risk of flooding, was submitted yesterday but has to be checked before it can be made public.
