MORE than 50 events are lined up to take place during Oxford’s first low carbon week.
Most are free and open to the public during the week which starts on Saturday, June 14.
Local businesses and organisations are putting their energies into supporting the week, with Oxfam, Oxford Brookes University, Oxford Friends of the Earth, Oxford City Council, Turl Street Kitchen and Oxford Castle all putting on events.
There will be workshops, talks and opportunities for people living and working in Oxford to learn about how they can take steps to tackle climate change.
City councillor John Tanner, executive board member for a cleaner, greener Oxford, says: “I hope everyone will get involved in saving the environment for our children and grandchildren.’’ s A full list of events Week is at lcoweek.org
