IT IS easy to forget just how hard exams are.

We look back wistfully to our student days, free of the stresses of mortgages, commutes, and children.

Our daily grind at work seems a million miles away from the rose-tinted high jinks of our youth.

But university exams can decide the rest of your future.

As a society, we want the next generation to do well and succeed, and with the current economic climate the pressure to excel and get ahead is even higher.

So who can blame students for letting off some steam after all their hard work?

Providing they are not doing anything illegal, perhaps we should give them a break.

Their celebrations are not much different to how many of us greet the weekend after a tough week.

Let them have this brief moment of joy before the reality of the working world has them in its clutches.
