FROM planning to parking, council decisions can often be a frustration. But for Jason Stone it could tear him away from the city he knows and loves.
He is yet another victim of red tape in which benefits caps mean people are being shunted off to Birmingham due to a lack of accommodation here in Oxford.
What is ridiculous is he was willing to pay the difference between his benefits and rent on a house he found in Rose Hill. But the city council said it could not accept that and instead he is facing being ripped away from the city he has grown up in to start a new life in an alien place.
We hope the local authority sees sense in time. If he truly can afford the extra rent from his part-time wages, let him pay and keep his family together.
