THIS Sleeping Beauty is the latest attraction at a farm set up to be fully accessible to disabled visitors.
The interactive diorama on Fairytale Farm’s “enchanted walk” was unveiled this weekend along with a scene from Hansel and Gretel.
Children push a button and the scene lights up, and a voice begins to tell the fairytale.
Volunteer Tara Whelband, 15, said: “It’s been really popular, the kids have loved it.”
The enchanted Fairytale Street also features interactive scenes from Little Red Riding Hood and Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
The farm, at Southcombe, near Chipping Norton, describes itself as the first to put disabled visitors first without being exclusively for disabled people.
Owner Nick Laister, who runs the park with wife Nicola, said: “Most places are either for disabled people or non-disabled.
“But the reality is that most families who have one disabled child probably have more children who aren’t disabled.”
He said the new fairytale installations had proved popular, but sadly not as popular as a much more low-tech and less costly duck racing game.
