KEEPING up with the Burford Orchestra is no piece of cake.
Especially when you have not picked up your bow and violin for 18 years.
But mother-of-two Yolanda Harrison, who lives in the town, couldn’t wait to take part in a drop-in come and play session with the community orchestra.
The 36-year-old from Burford played music from the hit Disney film Pirates of the Caribbean alongside folk tunes on Sunday.
Mother to William, two, and Conrad, 10 months, Ms Harrison was pleased to rekindle her passion for music.
She said: “Anybody could pick up their instrument after many years and have a go.
“I had my violin and four hours later I was playing along.
“It was lovely. I stopped playing the violin when I went to university, but it was lovely to play again. There were a lot of teachers there, but it was great to be part of an orchestra.”
