  1. Rory McFarlane, 19, of Kingsclere Road, Bicester, admitted assaulting a constable in the execution of his duty in Queens Avenue, Bicester, on September 22. Also admitted burglary after stealing alcohol from Bicester Rugby Club on September 22. Stole non-alcoholic drinks in a burglary at the Six Bells pub in Bicester on September 22 and stole 16 Toshiba laptops worth £3,840 from Cooper County Secondary School in Bicester on June 17. Given a four-month prison sentence suspended for 12 months. Given a supervision order and told to do 60 hours of unpaid community work in the next 12 months. Told to pay a total of £150 compensation, an £80 victims’ surcharge and £150 costs.
  2. Robert Anderson, 42, of Chapel Street, Bicester, admitted drink-driving in Bucknell Road, Bicester, on March 1. Had 139 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of urine, above the legal limit of 107 micrograms. Community order made and told to do 80 hours of unpaid community work in the next 12 months. Told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 36 months.
  3. Anton Holt, 22, of Briar Furlong, Ambrosden, Bicester, admitted drink-driving in Victoria Road, Bicester, on April 12. Had 54 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Fined £185, a £20 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 14 months.
  4. Benjamin Kemp, 30, of Sedge Way, Shilton Park, Carterton, admitted driving without care and attention in Burford Road, Minster Lovell, on February 27. Fined £120, a £20 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with six penalty points.
  5. Majid Khan, 30, of Fergusson Road, Banbury, admitted possession of Class B drug cannabis at Banbury police station, Warwick Road, Banbury, on April 12. Given an 18-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.
  6. Richard Lyman, 26, of Barwood Court, Banbury, admitted possession of Class B drug cannabis in Banbury on April 13. Fined £100, a £20 victims’ surcharge, and £40 costs.
  7. Richard Morris, 29, of North Street, Bicester, admitted possession of Class A drug cocaine in Bicester on March 22. Fined £300, a £30 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs.
  8. Robert Pochec, 43, of Oxford Road, Bodicote, admitted shoplifting alcohol and food worth a total of £15 from Morrisons in Banbury on April 11. Fined £125, £15 compensation, a £20 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs.
  9. Tyrone Gray, 26, of Mold Crescent, Banbury, admitted possession of Class A drug cocaine at Hazel Grove, Bicester, on April 13. Fined £100, a £20 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs.
  10. Tomas McLaughlin, 22, of Bretch Hill, Banbury, admitted using or threatening unlawful violence in Pepper Alley, Banbury, on March 29. Community order made and told to do 150 hours of unpaid community work in the next 12 months. Also told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £150 costs.
  11. Deborah Osliff, 46, of no fixed address, admitted assaulting Pc James Postans in Waites Close, Aston, on April 4. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge.
  12. Jacob Guiness, 19, of Beaumaris Close, Banbury, admitted failing to comply with an order given by a Pc to leave High Street, Banbury, on April 6 and not return within 12 hours. Fined £65, a £20 victims’ surcharge, and £40 costs.
  13. Pedro Horta, 32, of Elderfield Road, Bicester, admitted drink-driving in Banbury Road, Bicester, on April 5. Had 51 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Fined £200, a £20 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 14 months.
  14. Stephen Ballard, 49, of Redwood Close, Oxford, convicted of using a colour television in Redwood Close, Oxford, on February 11 without a licence. Fined £400 and told to pay a £40 victims’ surcharge and £120 costs.
  15. Andrew Steele, 52, of Churchill Place, Chipping Norton, admitted failing to supply information to Thames Valley Police which could identify a driver suspected of a motoring offence in Banbury between July 2 and 30. Fined £245 and ordered to pay a £25 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with six points.
  16. Robert Robinson, 43, of Eagles, Faringdon, admitted speeding over the 30mph limit in Reading on September 28. Fined £165, ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge, £80 costs and licence endorsed with three points.

OXFORD MAGISTRATES

  1. Tyrone Holmes-Smith, 27, of Luther Street, Oxford, admitted stealing three joints of meat, worth £28.03, from Sainsbury’s in the Westgate Centre, Oxford, on April 8. Also admitted stealing one joint of lamb and one of beef from the same supermarket on March 31 and two joints of lamb worth £52.70 on April 7. Given a community order with a 12-month exclusion from the Westgate Centre.
  2. Richard Markwell, 24, of Iffley Road, Oxford, admitted stealing eight cans of Stella Artois lager, worth £10.70, from Sainsbury’s in Magdalen Street, Oxford, on April 23. Also admitted stealing a joint of beef and a packet of Twix chocolate bars, worth £13.47, from Marston Co-op on April 10. Fined £300 with a £30 victims’ surcharge.
  3. John Thompson, 72, of Godstow Road, Wolvercote, admitted being drunk in charge of a vehicle in Bath Street, Oxford, on April 7. Fined £500 and ordered to pay a £50 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Six points on licence.
  4. Michael Hogan, 53, of The Park, Harwell, admitted assaulting a woman by beating her at his home on March 6. Given a community order requiring participation in a 90-day domestic violence programme and given a two-year supervision requirement. Also ordered to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge.
  5. Martin Burdock, 46, of Springfield Close, Watlington, admitted drink-driving in Britwell Salome, Watlington, on April 13. Had 79 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above legal limit of 35 micrograms. Given a 20-month driving ban and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  6. Simon White, 34, of Bernwood Road, Headington, Oxford, admitted stealing six cashmere jumpers worth £420 from Edinburgh Woollen Mill, Oxford, on March 2, and three cashmere jumpers worth £420 from Edinburgh Woollen Mill, Oxford, on March 3. Given 70-day prison sentence and told to pay £693 compensation.

  10. Carlos Cro De Freitas, 28, of Oxford Night Shelter, admitted possessing bolt cutters and gloves in a place other than his abode on Knights Road, Oxford, on March 18. Also admitted failing to surrender to custody at Oxford Magistrates’ Court without reasonable excuse on April 1. Given a community order with an eight-week curfew to remain at Luther Street Night Shelter between 8pm and 8am.
  11. Kenroy Simpson, 22, of Owens Way, Cowley, admitted speeding over the 30mph limit on the B480 at Chiselhampton on September 12. Fined £85 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £65 costs. Licence endorsed with three points.
