BMW Minis hold their value better than any other brand of car, new research has revealed.
The car, made in Cowley, came top out of 34 manufacturers surveyed by industry guide Glass’s, with an annual depreciation of just 16.4 per cent.
Andrew Jackson, head of analytics at Glass’s, said: “Considering Mini operates within a high residual value performing segment, combined with the desirable nature of the brand, meant that even for vehicles aged seven years, the percentage of cost new that can be expected from a Mini was appreciably more than any other brand.”
The figures means UK Mini customers will see their car depreciate by up to 10 per cent less per year compared with the worst performing manufacturers.
