A boat moored near Osney Lock has been causing a stir with residents as it is slowly sinking.

The white boat with a red awning has been partially submurged for over a week.

Environment Agency spokeswoman Cheryl Walmsley said: “We are aware of the situation and we are satisfied that the boat is not causing a pollution or flood hazard.

“We are liaising with the owner to arrange for it to be removed.”

Walked past it at 8pm yesterday. A strange man, evidently angry about the boat, was bellowing accusations at a swan.
