SOUTH Central Ambulance says it may complain to the TaxPayers’ Alliance over its claim that its head of communications received pay and pension benefits worth £99,850.
Yesterday the TaxPayers’ Alliance released the figure amongst others as it criticised health trusts for what it considered were expensive “non jobs”.
South Central Ambulance said the post’s salary was in a band of £45,707 to £56,504 and it was investigating how the TaxPayers’ Alliance came to the figure.
“We will absolutely make a formal complaint to the TaxPayers’ Alliance if it is found to be appropriate,” spokesman Matt George said.
