Strong sunshine is better.

Decades of research has gone into ensuring that the topical application of SPF creams doesn't cause more problems with the body than the sun itself.

Maybe their four hours would be better spent performing research on viable alternatives to using animals. But they don't have the intelligence for that.

To mark the tenth year of campaigning against animal experiments at Oxford University, Speak will be holding a vigil at the Oxford Animal Lab in memory of all the animals who have suffered and died there.

The vigil takes place between 1pm – 5pm on Thurs 20th March opposite the animal lab on South Parks Road.

During the vigil, representatives from the Indian Vegetarian Society will present SPEAK with the Mahaveer Award for the SPEAK groups “dedication and commitment to animals abused in vivisection”.

Past recipients of the award include Tony Benn, Uri Geller and many other worthy individuals and organisations.

SPEAK are honoured to receive this prestigious award, and are delighted that their ongoing fight to end animal suffering at Oxford University has been recognised.

Speak's previous campaigning has done nothing to aid animals. The number of experiments carried out has increased over the last 10 years. They'd be better off trying to persuade people to go vegetarian.

I suspect that at least some of Speak are really just opposed to science and medicine. Long may they continue to fail.

How is this news? I mean really, a group of cranks who take Uri Geller (now careful to brand himslef as an "illusionist" I.e one who creates illusions) seriously. Looking forward to an in depth piece on the views of a tramp with a 'the end is nigh' placard soon.
