DETECTIVES have seized an estimated £5m worth of heroin and cocaine and charged two Oxfordshire men with plotting to import hard drugs.

Five kilograms of heroin were seized at a Woodstock property on Monday, along with 3kg of cocaine and 1kg of heroin at an address in Oxford, Thames Valley Police has said.

Martin Gray, 31, of Randolph Avenue, Woodstock and 35-year-old Yemi Aiyegbusi, of Walton Street, Oxford were today charged with conspiracy to import heroin and cocaine, and conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin.

It comes as 13kg of cocaine and 2kg of heroin were seized by police who stopped a vehicle on the M40 near High Wycombe on Monday.

Thames Valley Police has said the arrests came after a complex investigation by the Serious and Organised Crime Unit.

Police say more than £50,000 in cash was also seized during the raids, along with a hydraulic press and various other drug paraphernalia.

David Bowen and Shorne Ross, both 42, and of Mumford Drive, Rothersthorpe, Northampton and Dutch national Razaki Hakan, 41, have also been charged with the same crimes as Gray and Aiyebusi.

The case of the five men were heard at Banbury Magistrates’ Court today and all of them were remanded in custody to appear at Oxford Crown Court on March 21.

A 33-year-old man from Oxford has also been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A drugs and has been released on bail until April 21.
