TWO drug dealers were sentenced in Oxford Crown Court on Monday after being arrested in the city centre.
Ben Nicholson, of Lyndhurst Crescent, Swindon, pleaded guilty to possessing drugs with intent to supply and Brandon Day, of Faulkner Street, Oxford, admitted being concerned in the supply of cannabis.
Patrick Duffy, prosecuting, said the two men were arrested on May 30 last year after the vehicle they were travelling in was pulled over by officers in an unmarked police car.
He said Nicholson, 26, admitted possessing heroin, crack cocaine and cannabis with intent to supply, while 18-year-old Day admitted possessing cannabis with intent to supply.
Robert Lindsay, defending Nicholson, said his client had held down a steady job with a furniture removal business for eight years until the firm went bust and his life fell apart.
Defence barrister Lucy Tapper said Day was now trying to stay away from cannabis. He received a four-month prison sentence, suspended for 18 months with a supervision requirement.
Nicholson was given a two-year prison sentence.
