Edouard Manet’s Portrait of Mademoiselle Claus has returned to the Ashmolean Museum after a year-long tour of museums and galleries around the UK.
In 2013 the portrait toured the UK, visiting six museums and galleries including the National Museum of Wales and Manchester Art Gallery.
It is now on permanent display in Gallery 65.
The 19th century painting was saved from being sold overseas in August 2012 after the museum raised £7.83m to keep it.
