Around 8,000 homes without power in Oxford
ALMOST 8,000 homes are without power this morning.
Power cuts affected areas across Oxford, including Cowley and Marston, as well as Wallingford, just after 7am.
Scottish and Southern Electric said it was thought to have been caused by an underground fault, not due to adverse weather.
A spokesman added that extra resources had been brought into the area to cope with the expected bad weather.
Investigations are ongoing to identify the cause of this morning’s power failure.
