THE Queen’s Baton Relay (QBR) will come to Oxford in the run up to the Commonwealth Games, it has been announced.
The baton is set to visit the city on June 6 during its trip across England before the games in Glasgow on July 23.
It will start the day in Magdalen College School before making its way to Cutteslowe where celebrations will continue with the Cutteslowe Summer Festival.
Councillor Mark Lygo, Oxford City Council Board Member for Park, Sport and Events says: "I'm delighted that Oxford has been selected to host the Queen’s Baton Relay.
"This is a great opportunity for our city to show its support for Team England and help get the local people active."
