Academics are threatening more action if employers do not meet pay increase requests.
Members of the University and College Union (UCU) at both Oxford Brookes and Oxford University yesterday held a second two-hour strike over wages.
Now, the UCU says it is looking at potentially boycotting exam marking later in the academic year if progress is not made.
They want a pay increase of at least three per cent, instead of the one per cent put forward.
Oxford University UCU spokesman Terry Hoad said: “If it comes to it, boycotting marking will have more of an effect and impact on the university.”
