A portrait of an Oxfordshire farrier – an expert in the care of horses’ hooves – features in a new exhibition.
Photographer Matthew Wright, from Wantage, has spent a year taking pictures of Andy Eadie of Lambourn Downs.
He is showing the pictures at the Vale and Downland Museum in Church Street, Wantage.
Mr Wright, 41, pictured, said: “I set out to spend a day with my farrier friend, driven by curiosity. What I witnessed was an ancient, poetic and rhythmic craft – a beautiful, tactile and diverse environment with an architecture, smell, colour, texture and construction all of it’s own.”
The show runs to February 8 and will be open Monday to Saturday, 9.30am to 4pm.
