Wheatley man Niv Adiri has been nominated for an Oscar his work on box office hit Gravity.
The 39-year-old works for Sound 24 at Pinewood studios.
He, alongside Skip Lievsay, Christopher Benstead and Chris Munro are nominated in the category of “Achievement in Sound Mixing” for the film, starring Sandra Bullock.
They are up against sound teams working on Captain Phillips, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, Inside Llewyn Davis and Lone Survivor. Gravity is nominated in ten categories in all.
