ART lovers can quiz sculptors about their work at an exhibition this Saturday.

Oxford Sculptors Group is showing off 82 sculptures in bronze, resin, wood and clay in its annual show at North Wall art gallery, Oxford, until February 7.

The works range from abstract shapes and decorative pieces to human forms like this piece, called Emergence.

Artist Pam Foley said the feminine figure was inspired by the subject of chronic sorrow.

Ms Foley, 56, originally from Massachusetts in the United States but who now lives in Jericho, said: “Our exhibitions are always very diverse with very high quality professional craftsmanship.”

She said the sculptures invited the public to apply their own interpretations.

She is one of 23 group artists exhibiting at the show which opens today.

The North Wall gallery, in South Parade, Summertown, is open 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday and 12pm to 4pm on Saturdays.

All the artists will be at the gallery this Saturday between 1.30pm and 3.30pm for visitors to talk to.
