A woman who falsely claimed more than £28,000 in benefits has been jailed for 18 weeks.
Lissiea Davidson pleaded guilty to dishonestly obtaining housing benefit, council tax benefit, jobseekers allowance, income support and employment and support allowance.
The 47-year-old, of Haldane Road, Blackbird Leys, admitted making false statements and failing to declare a change of circumstances, which affected her entitlement to the benefits from Oxford City Council and the Department for Work and Pensions.
The offences took place between April 2009 and December 2012, a period when she was living with her partner and hosting foreign students.
She was sentenced at Oxford Magistrates Court on Monday this week, where she was told to repay the money.
