AFTER three Christmases at the Oxfordshire Animal Sanctuary, staff are appealing for Tigra to celebrate the next in a home of his own.

The five-year-old Staffie cross arrived at the Stadhampton-based charity, which cares for more than 100 dogs and 150 cats, in 2010.

Animal attendant Lisa Bristow said: “He's very affectionate – he loves his walks and is very good on his lead.

“He loves playing ball games but can get quite excitable at times, so he needs someone who can handle him.”

The sanctuary has rehomed more than 18,000 cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and other animals since opening in 1967.

Assistant warden Aaron Denton said it is now time for the Staffie to have a home of his own. He said: “He's a really nice dog but he gets overlooked. He’s really likeable and full of character.”
