FLOOD alerts in Oxfordshire remain in place this morning as heavy rain continues to fall.

The Met Office have forecast that the showers will clear at about 3pm.

The following waterways have flood alerts - which means flooding is possible - in place today: The River Thames is on alert from Buscot near Faringdon to Henley, including Oxford, Radley, Jericho, Abingdon, Eynsham and Wallingford.

The River Cherwell is on alert from Charwelton to Oxford including Upper Heyford, Lower Heyford, Banbury and Hook Norton.

The River Ock from Watchfield to Abingdon is on alert as well as the Letcombe Brook at Wantage, Grove and East Hanney.

In West Oxfordshire, both the Evenlode and the Glyme are on alert, including Wootton and Woodstock.

The River Leach from Northleach to Mill Lane near Lechlade and the River Thame and Chalgrove Brook are also on alert.

The Ginge Brook, for the Steventon area down to and including Sutton Courtenay A flood warning - meaning flooding is expected - was issued for the River Thames from Shiplake to Bolney Court near Henley including Lower Shiplake and Wargrave yesterday.
