A 34-YEAR-OLD man has denied causing a crash by pulling the handbrake on in his girlfriend’s car while she was driving.
At Oxford Crown Court yesterday, Terry Stoute pleaded not guilty to causing a danger to other road users on the A40 between Cutteslowe roundabout and Marston by pulling on the handbrake in his former girlfriend Lisa-Marie Dancer’s car, causing it to crash on May 16.
He also denied damaging his former girlfriend’s property – a Staffordshire Bull Terrier named Chester – on the same date.
Stoute, of Cresswell Close, Reading, who used to live in Kidlington, was released on bail, with the condition that he would not go to Miss Dancer’s place of work.
A trial will be heard within the two weeks from March 31.
