HAVING raised thousands of pounds for Oxford’s children’s hospice Helen and Douglas House over the years, there is no doubting the success of Childish Things.
So it seems a shame that the 10th event, held in March, will be its last. The hospice’s event manager Lizzie Pickering has said they are struggling to get the well-known stars they have been used to attracting as they get signed up for so many other events.
Many families will have seen first-hand the incredible work staff at the hospice do in caring for extremely poorly children so we all need to put our support behind it and its various fundraising events in whatever form they are.
