American civil rights campaigner, the Reverend Jesse Jackson, right, has said there are not enough black or poor students at Oxford and Cambridge Universities.
He told student reporters at Cambridge University that he was “concerned” about the situation.
He said: “You must learn how to participate in the world. Most folks are yellow, brown, black, non-Christian, poor and they don’t speak English.”
He was due to appear at the Oxford Union last night.
