THE move by St Benet’s Hall to finally admit female students after 116 years is welcome.
It is the final single-sex hall at Oxford but is looking to change its set-up to be able to cater for women.
We should respect the attitudes and principles of those who founded St Benet’s when viewed in the context of their time.
But this is the 21st century and the arrival of women will improve the college and its reputation.
