A WOMAN has been found dead at a house in Cowley Road in Littlemore, Oxford.
The woman was found last Thursday, but details of the incident have only been made public today.
A post-mortem examination was unable to determine the cause of death.
After the house was deemed structurally unsound, police had to wait for it to be made safe before investigating.
They are searching the property today.
Investigating officer Det Insp John Turner from Oxford CID said: “Officers will be in the property today carrying out investigations into the death of a woman there.
“At this stage, there is nothing to suggest this is a suspicious death but we believe this woman lived with her mother and so we will be searching the property thoroughly today.
“I want to take this opportunity to reassure residents that if they have any concerns at all, please contact their local neighbourhood team.”
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Det Insp Turner on 101.
