Firefighters strike across Oxfordshire
Firefighters across the county went on strike this morning.
There were picket lines at stations including Rewley Road and The Slade between 6am and 8am.
Members of the Fire Brigades Union also took action on Friday evening.
The dispute is over pension age changes which could see fireighters' retirement age increased from 55 to 60.
Councillor Rodney Rose, Oxfordshire County Council's deputy leader, said before today's action: "It's again frustrating that these periods of strike action have been called by the FBU as we thought progress had been made when they cancelled their last planned period of industrial action [last month].
"We do however in Oxfordshire have firm plans in place to deal with fire service 999 calls that may arise."
