9:40am Saturday 2nd November 2013 in News
The jury has gone out to consider its verdict in the trial of five men accused of attempting to conceal, disguise or convert criminal property.
They are alleged to have “turned a blind eye” to two undercover police officers posing as metal thieves at TR Rogers and Sons scrap yard, in Nuneham Courtenay.
The prosecution has accused them of accepting “suspicious” metal cables and lead from the officers between March and May last year.
Simon Rogers, 42, of Bromsgrove in Faringdon, his father Terence Rogers, 70, of Drayton St Leonard, Martin Pace, 36, of Wallingford, Ian Marshall, 29, of Berinsfield, and Darren Andrews, 34, of Berinsfield, all deny the charges against them.
