HOLLYWOOD action hero and star of The Expendables Randy Couture was shown around Oxford by travel and tourism students.
The 50-year-old retired wrestler visited Oxford and Cherwell Valley College in Oxpens Road on Thursdayand took a tour of the city.
Mr Couture, who took a break from filming Expendables 3 with Sylvester Stallone in Bulgaria to travel to Oxford, said: “The students did a great job.
“This is my first time in Oxford so to get the chance to walk around with people who know it really well, and to have them explain the significance of the attractions, was excellent.
“You have a picture in your head of what somewhere will be like and it lived up to expectations.
“Having been filming for the past few weeks it was nice to take a break and enjoy the sites at a different pace.
“There is no substitute for real-world training so I hope that my visit has been of value to the students.”
Student Jennifer Stascheit, 26, is studying the Extended Diploma in Travel and Tourism.
She said: “Everyone really enjoyed the project. It was a lot of hard work, and we were up late the night before making sure that everything was ready, but it went really smoothly.
“It isn’t every day you meet a Hollywood star and when we first met Randy we were all quite shy.
“But as they day went on we chatted with him and it was great fun.”
