Man attacked with iron bar in Cutteslowe Park
A 40-year-old man has been seriously injured after being beaten with an iron bar.
The victim suffered a broken nose and hand in the attack in Cutteslowe Park at 5pm yesterday and is now being treated in hospital.
Police described the attacker as white, in his late 20s or early 30s, of a medium build, with short dark hair. He was wearing a blue sweatshirt.
Investigating officer Det Con Charlie Ellis, of Force CID in Oxford, appealed for anyone with information to call police on 101.
He said: “There would have been other people in Cutteslowe Park at the time of this assault.
“I would like to speak to anyone who saw the incident, or a man matching the description of the offender in the park or surrounding area.
“The victim suffered some serious injuries and is still in hospital undergoing treatment.”
