MUSIC, haybales and activities such as splat the rat came together for the sixth annual Binsey Fete.

The fete, held on the Village Green on Saturday saw performances from children’s musician Nick Cope, Binsey Americana act The Epstein, Count Drachma and The Gees.

There was also a fancy dress competition and a village sports day.

Binsey resident Samantha Tharme provided face-painting at the event.

She said: “It was good fun.

“There were lots of people there, definitely a good turnout, and the kids seemed to be having a riot in the hay bales.

“I think it went really well and the music was great.”
