A HUSBAND and wife team were a force to contend with at the Ardley and Fewcott annual flower and produce show.
Keith and Stella Brogdale, from Leach Road in Bicester, clocked up eight first prizes between them at the show on Saturday.
The annual event at the Ardley village Hall in Ardley Road, raised £200 for the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust.
Mrs Brogdale, 66 said: “It was fantastic. It was a lovely day. Our grandchildren came down and I think it was very successful.
“And it looked wonderful. People did really well – it was a very good display attended by a lot of people with a great atmosphere.”
Mrs Brogdale’s mixed garden flowers won first prize, cheese scones won second and spiced apple, pear and pomegranate chutney came third.
Mr Brogdale won seven first prizes across the 87 categories, which included flowers, vegetables, fruit, crafts and home produce.
There were 246 entries.
Secretary for the Ardley and Fewcott Gardening Club Jean McGarry said: “We were very pleased with how it went, and the standard on show.”
