A TEENAGER has been locked up for assaulting a mental health nurse at Littlemore Hospital.
Lewis Moiloa, 19, punched nurse Lena Gode who was trying to restrain him after he became “frustrated” at not being allowed to go outside to have a cigarette.
District Judge Tim Pattinson told him he had a “dreadful record for violence”.
Moiloa of Bartsia Road, Bicester, who has 20 convictions for 30 previous offences, had been subject to a hospital order after committing a robbery when he assaulted the nurse on May 9 this year.
At a previous hearing the court heard that Moiloa told three nurses at Littlemore that he would “smash them up” before making for the exit. He was restrained but punched Lena Gode’s face making her nose bleed.
He was also sentenced for two further assaults when he appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
Moiloa pleaded guilty to all three assaults.
He was sent to a young offenders’ institution for a total of 26 weeks.
He will serve 18 weeks for the assault on the nurse, eight weeks to be served consecutively for a train station assault and a further eight weeks, to be served consecutively, for assaulting a teenager.
