JOE Wells shoots and scores at new sessions aimed at getting youngsters involved in sport.
The Oxford Hoops Basketball Club player, 29, is joining free sessions in Cutteslowe and Rose Hill, being run with Oxford City Council.
The basketball sessions, for those aged 15 to 21, will include circuits and drills.
The 6ft 1in fitness teacher at Northfield School, in Blackbird Leys, said: “It went really well, lots of kids turned up.
“It was good to see a lot of interest in basketball.”
Sessions will run every Wednesday from 6pm to 7.30pm to October 16 at the multi-use games area (MUGA) next to Cutteslowe Community Centre, Wren Road.
They will also be held at the MUGA in Ashurst Way, Rose Hill, every Thursday from 5.30pm to 7.30pm to October 24. Booking is not required but places are limited.
